Transcription

Another word or terminology that printers used was “cash in”. Which meant people who went to a shop for one day and that was all. They wanted to be paid that day instead of waiting for payday. That was called cash in, getting your money that day. Typically it led to them being banned or bar, excuse me I meant barred, from working at that place for six months. Being barred was similar to being fired, you couldn’t work there for six months. Yeah, that was another thing Deaf printers did. They would travel around, work a day or so and expect to cash in and travel again. I remember one time, I went from Dallas to California. I only had $26 dollars, I arrived in California and still had my $26. I did that by working as a sub, and cashing in at different places until I made it.
