Video Description
The video begins with a title slide featuring a line drawing of a figure depicting the handshapes and movement for the vocabulary term, Make-Up. The signer uses both hands in a bent-3 handshape to depict the process of laying lead text. At mid-torso, the signer moves each hand in a small rotation upward, away from the body toward the viewer, then downward and back toward the torso. Next in a video recording, Brian Brizendine, a white older man, defines the term in American Sign Language. He stands in front of a blue screen in a film studio.

For making pages, we used a few signs. For instance, if you worked there, you were called a Floorman. To describe the work that was done by a Floorman, we used this sign, MAKE-UP. This meant that they’d lay out the whole page using the blocks of text. That was signed MAKE-UP.
